Best light spectrum for flowering plants red light, between 610 to 700nm or 2,000 to 3,000k, is the best for flowering and fruit production. Succulents are fairly forgiving on this metric, and lights from 3,000k to 6,000k can support healthy growth. This reaction produces a lot of uv light, but the bulb’s phosphorous covering blocks most of it.
You can see the color of the light on the bar below and the corresponding wavelength. In 2021 we now have a wide variety of leds to generate any par spectrum we like. The chart from orphek above helps visualize how this works. The higher your electrical input voltage is the greater.
